2.1 Contact form
When you write to us through the website form or by email, we may collect:
- First and last name
- Email address
- Phone number (if you provide it voluntarily)
- Information about your business or project that you choose to share
2.2 Demo virtual assistant (Max)
If you interact with the virtual assistant shown on this website, conversations are processed through Google Gemini. For more detail, see section 6 on data processors.
2.3 Automatic technical data
When you visit the website, some non-identifying technical data is automatically collected, such as browser type, operating system, preferred language and time spent on the site. This data is used solely for statistical purposes.
3. Purpose of processing
Your data is used exclusively to:
- Respond to the inquiries you make through the form or by email.
- Send you quotes, commercial proposals or documentation if you request it.
- Provide the contracted service if you become a client.
- Comply with legal obligations (invoicing, tax, etc.).
We do not use your data for advertising, automated profiling, nor do we sell it to third parties.
4. Legal basis for processing
The processing of your data is based on the following legal grounds under the GDPR:
- Consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR) when you voluntarily fill in a form.
- Performance of a contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR) when you hire a service.

5. Retention period
- Inquiries not converted into a contract: up to 1 year from the last contact.
- Client data: for the duration of the contract and up to 6 years afterwards for tax obligations (Art. 30 Spanish Commercial Code).
- Technical browsing data: up to 24 months.
6. Recipients and data processors
To provide the service, Marina Code relies on external providers. These providers are "data processors" and have signed the necessary agreements under the GDPR. The main ones are:
- Vercel Inc. (USA) — website hosting. Adherent to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
- Google LLC (USA) — for the Gemini API that powers the demo virtual assistant. Adherent to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
- GitHub Inc. (USA, owned by Microsoft) — storage of the site's source code.
If new providers that process personal data are added in the future, this list will be updated.
7. International transfers
Some of the providers listed above are located in the United States. Such international transfers are carried out on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework approved by the European Commission in 2023, which guarantees an adequate level of protection.
8. Your rights
As a person whose data is processed, you have the right to:
- Access: find out what data of yours we hold.
- Rectification: correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure: ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Objection: object to specific processing.
- Restriction: ask us to restrict the use of your data.

Marina Code applies reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data: HTTPS connections, strong passwords, limited access, backups. However, no system on the internet is completely invulnerable, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect legal, technical or operational changes. When there are significant changes, we will indicate this visibly on the site. We recommend checking it periodically.
